I am betting my whole life and career on this project right now and this is a huge milestone - the national television premiere of “Me & U”. I am most proud of the NextSelection/Bad Boy on the vid - my very first label credit.

OMG, I saw the video today and it was on FIREEEEE!!!!!! JHeaaaaaa!!! Cassie Rocks!!! shes the best I have harrassed the radio stations down here in Tampa so much that shes in heavy rotation on the radio of course I know it was withthe help of others as well But I cant even got to the club without harrasing the Dj’s to play it I love that song and cant wait for the album to come out..I actually caught the video by mistake I had just turned the tv on and heard them announce it before a commercial break so you know I got the tivo ready and BAM! I can watch my girl do her thing all night…Yayyyyyyyyyy!!!! Cassie rocks!!!!!!

I saw the whole video on YouTube. It’s so hot! And it’s totally different then the first video of, for example, Rihanna. You just see Cassie, how she danced and sings! It’s very simple. No special effects, no bright colors!

well i didnt read all the comments, it can be that it was said already but this is only my 5 cents.
First i am really glad, that cassie finaly did her thing and she is very successfull.
second thing is you did something which happens often in the computer games industry. Gamestudios buy very expensiv licences from hollywood films and make wack games then, this is what you did with this song. You could do so much more but this video is just damn boring. It reminds me of the video from “1,2 Step” and that J.Lo video. Hope there will be a better remix video then this one

I love Cassie & the NextSelection movement. I have been following NextSelection since last year with your music (Ryan Leslie) as well as Cassie’s music. In additon, I have been logging on to the blogs of other NS members/ artists (Nelson, Rhea) and spreading the word to my friends. However, I wasn’t feeling the video. Compared to other new artist with videos out right now such as Cherri Dennis, LeToya Luckett and Lupe Fisaco the video was kinda borning. I thought the treament for the video was going to be better than what I viewed on televison.
Don’t get me wrong, Cassie looked beautiful in the video. I feel like the video was missing a lot of elements. The video needed more scenery changes, color, and a leading man (to play the role of him searching out Cassie). The video seemed to immitate the movie Flashdance or Janet’s Pleasure Principle music video. Since Cassie wanted to portary a dance rehearsal, I thought the video needed her background dancers to portray more of a dance rehearsal session (if this is what Cassie was going for).
Futhermore, I didn’t understand why Cassie kissed the mirror, poured water all over herself in the video, and did a type of strip tease through out the video. The video just seemed to focus on Cassie as a video sex kitten instead of her as a beautiful R&B artist — there is a difference. The director for the video Ray Kay didn’t do a good job of portraying Cassie. I think NS should have kept the Little X treament for the video or worked with other musical directors such as Chris Robinson, Hype, Eric White, etc. Another possiblity could have been NS searching for a video treatment from the fans (through a contest) or as stated above from various musical directors.
Maybe I am not feeling the video because I am a 23 year old female and the video was marketed for a male teenage audience. Furthermore, I am probably not feeling the video because I am a PR student and thought the video didn’t promote Cassie in the best light.
Despite my comments, I am still waitng for Cassie’s debut album. I wish her and NextSelection much success and I will continue to spread the word. NextSelection!

Now if you really know your music you will realize that this is not a vocal song its a club joint, a party joint….Who is jammin in da club (tipsy) talkin bout dang the person singing this can blow ….NO ONE!!! I agree with Tropical, considering for how long the song has been out now and played and promoted etc. it has built up expectations. Whenever I heard that song, I thought of Cassie being in a club or party where someone, who is “eating his heart out” to be with her is too, and she is kind of playing “hide and seek”, tension building up, a little dance part etc.
To be honest, the vid was nice, but not more. It was not what I had expected. It was too simple and it was not a vid I would want and have to see over and over again.

Please if ur not showing love or if ur not making constructives comments,just don’t waste your time…Im supporting the good energy,and the hard work from Next Selection…and talking about the video which have seen…When i hear that it’s too simple that doesn’t mean anything to me.U people have been watching the same hip hop and R&B videos for years and when u get something with more simplicity,ashetetic which gives more importance to the music u’re don’t like it…open up ur mind and if Ryan sounds different on his sound it’s just the continuity of it to look diiferent on the video…Im not expecting anything else or something common to what we’ve all seen already…sounds good to me and looks good…

Hey.. Well done Cassie… you’re soon to be a massive star! I’m so jealous of you cause that’s my dream and i just wish i could do the same. Unfortunately i live in England so i don’t see that happening to me. I’m 16 years old and i want to move to America to see if i have a chance in the music career. i love the video. Cassie and Ryan keep the hard work up even through all this critisicm still fight for the greatest. There are some idiots who are no here but they are just jealous because your determined and getting somewhere. They just want to be in your shoes. Well i have a question for Ryan. Ryan you did Jo Jo production. Well i was wondering what advice would you give a young girl who has nothing at all to work with. Cant even get a record starting or anythng. Because i love to sing but i just dont think i have faith in it to be where yall are already going.

when i 1st heard the song me and u, i loved it! but i saw her performance on 106 and park, SHE CANT SING BY ANY MEANS, AND REALLY CANT DANCE! the crowd was not feeling her, they only got excited when yung joc came on, ya’ll better watch out b4 ya’ll have another milli vanilli! cuz its way past obvious that she cant sing, and dances OFF THE BEAT! U can see it n her eyes that she cant sing! shes gorgeous, but this is music, $ wont get u everywhere! guess u dont have to sing ne more, look at hillary duff and paris, and lindsay lohan!

Cassie was just nervous on 106 and park ya. she can sing she just need to believe in herself when she perform, but she know now. Cassie, u jus gotta do u ! I luv that song kiss me its the only song i listen to. its so relaxin when your mad or sad. Okay, her performance on 106 was nice, with ok vocals. She definitely looked beautiful (as always) but i dont think you guys should start saying she cant sing just because *one* performance on 106. Everyone isn’t perfect, and i remember Michelle of Destiny’s child falling on stage at 106, so who is to say that cassie can’t dance needless to say, sing? No matter where you go, or what you do, someone will always have something to say… I remeber when mary j blige first came out and everyone said she couldnt sing and her voice was weird and look where she is today? Same thing with ashanti and ciara even. All these artists had ‘initial haters’ when they fist came out, but now all their singles get play. so cassie if you reading this, keep doing your thing girl because your cd is hot, i think you loook hot, and im gonna look out for u and support you.
Ummm i also wanna say thanks to Ryan leslie for producing long way to go, because the song is hot and it’s another banger i can chill and relax to.. also my favorite track on the album. Would love to hear an instrumental for this joint.
