Blackberry Blast
A quick look at my blackberry e-mail can always give me an idea of what the coming weeks are looking like. Shooting a new season of MTV’s Making the Band 3 in Miami and a Diddy MySpace campaign are both on the horizon. Rasheed and I (with the help of programmer Mike West) put together a mock top artist page with Mr. Combs in the top slot. Looks like he’s enjoying the idea of being number 1.

Making the Band is filming it’s next season. They are going to be showing what it’s like to be in “THE BAND” and the process of what they have to go through now since they are the band. And by the way my neighbor is one of the girls and she is a very sweet person. I know that Ryan will do a fine job for them.

How’s life treating you nowadays? Congratulations on the power moves that you are making. Your songwriting and producing skills are off the hook bro! Props for the minimalistic yet rich and bouncy tracks you create.
I ran across your name listening to the song “just one night”, you did with Cassie. Nice how you flipped the Stevie harp (tried to use it once, but skipped it, due to sampling and publishing issues). When I heard the “I ain’t no joke” beat on “you think you know” you really caught my attention, ‘cause I’m a true ol’ schooler and also chopped the same drums a while ago.
I hear similarities in the way we produce and wonder if you’re down with a collabo type thing. We as Solid Souls try to flip this whole hiphop/r&b thing in Europe in another direction and work with al kinds of talented people. As we speak we just finished negotiating a deal to start our own, Solid Souls, record label. Our first artist will be this talented mc named Honest.
