My good friend Paco has an incredible rolodex and is always putting me in touch with great people. We had arrived in LA a day before Cassie’s video shoot so that she could rehearse, and being an obsessive workaholic, I was running a studio session to play around with some remix ideas ideas for “Come To Me” and go over some business with Rasheed. In walks Paco with Eliza Dushku, who chopped it up with me for a little before I received this call from Diddy, who had just returned to the States from a European promo run:

This video is definently inspirational. The message that you received from diddy has been constantly stated by other main stream artists and professionals. It’s Definently good advice but I find it simple yet difficult to get major industry execs to view you and give you an offer you can’t refuse when their are so many talented individuals. I mean, I definently have the resources and abilities to “get hot” here in Detroit but, with the issues my city is facing right now and the negative image it has I wonder will I ever get the chance to see a major label exec grace the streets of the D or will they turn away because of what they hear.
