It’s incredible how Cassie has touched the lives of so many young people. Yesterday, in recognition of her achievements, Mayor Eddie Perez of Hartford, CT proclaimed August 10th “Cassie Day”. I’m honored to have played a part in her phenomenal success - and moments like this validate the drive, desire, discipline, and dedication we have striven to exemplify in this process.

Not to be rude, but I would like to know what Cassie really did that others didn’t do? Go into the studio, sing to songs already written and produced, model around because obviously she is beautiful, won’t talk about her live skills here.
If CT honors her simply for being in the biz, then that would be dead wrong.
Is she a member of Unicef? Giving her money to the poor?
I am not asking this out of sarcasm, I would really like to know, cause I just probably missed it when it was talked about. Looking forward to hear the answer.

This is for Fergie. I can see how your question might come off as a little sarcastic to some, but I believe that overall it is a very honest question. I’m not connected to NS in any way, but I do have experience in the subject. Your right in saying that usually a person is honored in that way if there of a great humanitarian or philanthropic achievement. However, sometimes its done just as an honor for people that do great things as INSPIRATION for others. Ryan lives by his for D’s. (drive, desire, dedication, discipline). The drive and desire parts are actually ‘children’ of inspiration. See, when you (or anyone else) achieve something outstanding, especially when it has not been done before, inadvertently you take the whole community with you. Meaning you have now set the bar higher for everyone and have become the current benchmark of progress. That’s why it takes only one person to make or break a World Record in any sport or incredible feat. Cassie has certainly done that on a few levels…and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ryan receiving a comparable honor in the near future.
Even thought I’m not connected to these guys I hope I answered your question. It would b cool though if maybe Ryan or Cassie could post to give you an answer with a more personal touch.
