Cheri Amour
Hit the ground running on my first official day back on my job in the USA. One of the important orders of business was to stop by the Cheri Dennis video shoot for the song I produced and co-wrote with Corey “Latif” Williams, called “I Love U”. After a few minutes at the door (explaining my reason for showing up in the first place), I was able to congratulate Cheri on this milestone in her career. I am very glad to play a role in introducing her to the world. This clip illustrates her contagious excitement:
I’ll spend the rest of the week overseeing a casting call for Cassie’s dancers (she has a show May 3rd), mixing a record with Pat Viala for Def Jam artist Megan Rochell, planning for my tour to the UK in May, working with Sean Collins on organizing and reviewing our music submissions, and tightening up Cassie’s records for the A&R meeting on Tuesday. Though the 4 D’s can truly make sleep scarce, I embrace with pride the responsibilities of a young entrepreneur.

“I love you” was bubbling under for sooooo long.
I first heard it on pjbutta like a year ago!!
The arrangement, the simplicity of the instrumentation…
