Give It All You’ve Got

Despite the harsh public opinions and media scrutiny that we have endured with regards to Cassie’s meteoric rise up the charts this summer, we have still found a way to press forward. The fuel that powers our movement is based on encouragement from within our team, and on the many supporters who express your enjoyment with the music that we create by sharing it with friends, requesting it at radio, and choosing our songs to be the soundtrack of your lives at work or at play. Both encouragement and support are illustrated in this clip, taken from Cassie’s soundcheck at MTV’s Total Request Live (her first televised performance):

    Hey Ryan,

Much respect to you and your movement…all the negative comments and haters would just make you stronger in this game…just keep doing your thing for your fans, but dont forget us please.

Also, when you coming down to Australia? I would love to organise and get something together for you to perform down here!

P.S. Lead me the way to submit my remixes/production work for your staff to listen to.

    Much love and God Bless.

    Eric.

  9. Sunita:

    Hey there Ryan,

How’s it going? Just wanted to drop a line from the island of Singapore, firstly to say that the ingeniously-combined efforts propagating the NS movement has reached and inspired me; I first heard about you, and more specifically, your music, early last year, when a deejay played your song ‘Used To Be’ at a nightclub in Australia, and since then, I’ve heard abt the movement including Cassie & Nelson too. I want to wish you & all the artistes, all the very best in your future endeavours, & I’ll definitely support the movement all the way thru’ & pray that a global osmosis of the movement will occur shortly. There are no shortcuts to any places worth going, and I suppose the farther you go, the more challenges that arise in making you that much stronger.

Secondly, with regards to your statement of how your breaks are attributed to luck, I totally agree & believe that too, but having said that I’ve also researched the ‘luck factor’ (I conduct psychology research), which essentially proved that ‘luck’ exists insofar as the situations that we create is enabled & manifested by positive thinking & strong beliefs/goals/dreams to begin with, which is exactly what u guys have done. That in turn however, if I may posit, has been motivated by a bigger theme, a main underlying source, and that is the power of intention. The reason I’m bringing this up, is because I’m hoping to illustrate that my next few points are made in light of a strong intention, which hopefully you may be instrumental in bringing to fruition:

I’m hoping that your team will be able to bring your ideas to Singapore & start up something similar to NS4Life here, for there is absolutely no market out here to harness the current mass of untapped sources of creativity that lie dormant & prevent aspiring artists like myself from realising their dreams. We all have our intentions, and their resulting situations, but guess what, the real powerhouses lay in America, and certainly not here in Asia. There is a musical goldmine waiting to be discovered, & much like the labels that ignorantly & dismissively brushed off your album before (and now realising the gravity of their errors), no one has seriously given Singapore/Asia any thought on the basis of unjustified assumptions abt lack of talent etc. Certainly, nothing can grow if there are no opportunities to begin with. There are soo many people here, diamonds in the rough, who just need an industry that nurtures their musical abililties. Just as how the power of the internet was utilised as a vehicle and medium for the NS movement, I am now using this message to hopefully build a bridge that will one day see the NS4Life train cross borders and continue into Southeast Asia, originating from Singapore & inciting a similar uproar with its own homegrown artists. If not, I hope to follow in your movement’s footsteps and start an online music revolution here myself, for no one else seems willing to even consider it seriously. It will be hard work establishing it but I believe that the pain of discipline is far less than the pain of regret. But I hope that you guys will be able to lay a foundation first, in the near future, even if it means just giving some guidance & advice & overseeing a branch development because the influence will be considerable.

Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to read this, and I apologise if this post is too convoluted & seems too far out.

I’ll just end by saying that I truly wish the movement all the success that life can bring to it, & the very best of ‘luck’ to you & your team. Keep up the good work & stay blessed.

    God bless,
    Sunita

Hey Ryan !!! It is so great that you encourage these young individuals that are in the game. The industry is real ROUGH COLD AND RUTHLESS. Much love for the movement!!!!!
    Yvonne

  17. NS4Life Fan:

    Heya Ryan,

I’m a fan who works in the field of psychology, & with regards to Cassie’s admirable performance, would like to share a free, fast, powerful technique that artistes can quickly do within minutes on their own, to dealing with performance anxiety.

The technique is called EFT & can be imagined as an emotional form of acupuncture without needles. Created by US psychologist Roger Callahan, he discovered that stimulating acupressure points lead to psychological relief for an anxious client, & thru’ experimentation was able to discover a series of points. Perhaps the most exciting thing abt EFT is that anyone can learn this approach & use it to help themselves. All they’ve to do is tap with their fingertips to stimulate certain meridian points while”tuned in” to the problem. EFT has been used on many as a performance coach to rapidly eliminate stage fright & induce vocal breakthroughs.

Being personally trained in this, I can assure u that it’s the fastest and most reliable way to expand personal limits, to drop fears & self-limiting ideas. It literally takes minutes to effect the changes & is a tool that people can learn to use, free of charge.

    How to Use EFT:
Begin by rubbing on the sore spot (see diagram @ http://www.geocities.com/chemelva/db_pages_pic_12.gif) & repeating the self-accepting statement shown, inserting the words that describe your problem (eg. “performance fear”). Then tap on each of the points, starting from the eyebrow & working downwards, abt 7 times while remaining focused on your problem. Proceed through all of the aspects of the problem that are troubling.

Also, it is estimated that only 7% of the msg that an artist conveys to the audience comes from the words used while 55% of the message is conveyed by physiology. You might want to identify certain body postures to convey a more powerful performance.

Hope these points help, just trying to be a supportive fan!

    Keep on the great work,
    much love & god bless.

  18. INVAZN:

all eyes on you….you guys are IT!! not much more ways to put it …keep sharing the movement with us!!
