i def thing a manager is the next step i need to take but i have no idea how to get ahold of any. i’m about to get an entertainment lawyer, to shop me for a manger, to shop me for a deal… but that sounds like a long road. Can you offer any advice or possible quicker paths?

Your dope. Your words on the video were very helpful. The music business seems to be a secret society and the people that want to be apart of it often dont have enough information or direction to be successful in the business. Ryan…man you are so right on when your new to the scene…”you tak what you can get”…but also like you said…when you have good management and somebody representing for you, it’s makes being an atrist that much more pleasing. Hey Im feeling the representation! I fight for my guys on every tour from artist who dont respect what we do and the danger and harm we keep them from seeing. Bodyguards get no respect these days and end up being most artist errand boys. We demand the same respect and dignity as any artist after all we take the bullets and give our lives for their ungrateful asses and most of the time we are underpaid……Nuff Said…..

I don’t see why it was so vital for Cassie to have a soundcheck– she doesn’t sing live anyway. Every performance I’ve seen of this young woman has been to a backing track. I mean, in laymen’s terms, “it is what it is.” You don’t see Ciara trying to go out and sing on her own. I think she’s finally come to terms with her singing capabilities, hence, the lack of criticism in her vocal skills. Perhaps Cassie should do the same: focus on being a pretty face and learn to dance. It has worked for Ciara.
